Personal project I worked on at the end of 2021: I’ve read, watched and loved Sally Rooney stories and as I was wondering what I could draw in November, I thought about it and ended up sketching these three scenes of Normal People (the mini-serie, not the book). I also wanted to experiment with some more muted colors so that’s it, perfect match! I've also rewatched the entire serie so I could draw all of the scenes I like the most and finally picked these three as they tell a lot about the entire story. If you didn’t watch it yet (or read, or both!), please stop everything you’re doing and go for it! (And go for her other two books too, believe me you won’t be disappointed) Where are you my fellow Sally Rooney fans? 🙌😌
“I don't know what's wrong with me, says Marianne.
I don't know why I can't be like normal people.
“It’s funny the decisions you make because you like someone, he says, and then your whole life is different.”
“We have done so much good for one another,” she tells him.
He says “I'll go” and she says “And I'll stay, and we'll be okay.”
It's money, though, isn't it? | The substance that makes the world real.
